Absolutely loved providing music for Allan & Andrea’s gorgeous lakeside wedding at the stunning Beech Hill Country House in Derry. From our first chat, I knew they were serious music-lovers and festival-goers, so music was going to play a really special role in their day!
Deciding which songs would make the final cut wasn’t easy, but in the end, they chose a fabulous mix of Glastonbury-inspired indie rock, with nostalgic throwbacks to the 90s plus some iconic anthems from recent years! We also compiled a pre-ceremony playlist to welcome their guests which featured more of their favourites, including Glastonbury headliners from the past 30 years such as Oasis, Foo Fighters, Elbow, Ash and many more!
For each of their Spotlight Songs, I wrote bespoke piano arrangements, as most indie rock music is more suited to guitar, so piano sheet music isn’t always available, but this gave me the opportunity to work my magic on some amazing songs and create unique versions specially for their wedding, which I absolutely love to do! If you’re a Glastonbury fan and indie rock is your jam, you’ll love this playlist, especially the Blossoms song for the newlyweds’ joyful exit, which is a fab tune to dance your way back down the aisle!
