KEY NOTES

I've compiled a list of frequently asked questions, but if there's something you'd like to know which isn't listed here, just send me a message and I'll be very happy to help.

You can find more details on my bespoke music services for wedding ceremonies and receptions with my Wedding Packages and Pricing, including exclusive gifts and extra touches which are available with my Made To Measure service. You’re also very welcome to get in touch if you’d like to chat through your requirements prior to booking or if you have a specific question about your music.

Yes - I supply a professional Nord Stage Piano which offers the authentic sound of a Steinway Concert Grand in a much more portable format. It is a deceptively powerful instrument, not to mention incredibly sleek and stylish! I also supply all associated equipment including amplifier, extension cables up to 50m, and additional connections for PA / sound systems.

I travel throughout the following counties of Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland - Down, Antrim, Armagh, Tyrone, Londonderry, Fermanagh, Louth, Meath, Cavan, Monaghan, Leitrim, Donegal and Dublin. If you’re tying the knot further afield or you’re planning a destination wedding, I also offer digital tracks via my online shop, plus personalised wedding music keys!

Almost anywhere! I’m available for both indoor and outdoor weddings, weather permitting! All my equipment is very compact and portable, and I am fully insured for all venues. Options are also available for remote weddings without electricity!

My music is ambient, romantic, soulful and emotive. It creates a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere throughout the day and helps to bring out all the right emotions!

Yes - it’s incredibly important! Music adds the perfect backdrop for those special moments and helps to make your day even more personal and memorable!

Absolutely! I love helping couples create a unique soundtrack for their special day and I’m always excited to receive new requests! There is no additional fee for new requests as this is all part of my personalised service.

Yes - I regularly receive unusual and obscure requests! As part of my service, I can create special arrangements of your chosen songs, even those which are not available as piano sheet music. I will either manually transcribe music or use professional notation software to write my own sheet music, at no extra cost to you! On very rare occasions, I may suggest choosing a different song if I feel that your original request does not translate well to piano, but 99 times out of 100, I can make it work!

Yes - I’ve worked with many singers and musicians in the past and I’m very happy to liaise with them directly re your ceremony music and also provide recordings in advance for rehearsal purposes. I can also transpose songs to their preferred pitch and transcribe sheet music for specific instruments or ensembles if needed. My transcription service incurs a small fee, but this is always confirmed in advance.

Definitely! Music is a great way to showcase your theme. Whether you’re having a movie themed wedding, a Disney inspired fairytale, a cool and quirky celebration, or a vintage style romance, your music will help to bring your ideas to life.

I’d be delighted to help! I’m familiar with the format for many different types of wedding ceremonies including religious, civil and humanist and can advise which music is legally allowed and best suited to your wedding. I can also offer ideas and suggestions based on your style preferences, to help you find the right piece of music for each part of your ceremony. Some weddings require as many as ten different pieces, whereas others only require four, so it’s worth discussing your plans with me at the outset so I can offer some guidance on the options available. I also encourage couples to browse through my music library for ideas and inspiration, simply to see the vast range of possibilities for modern weddings!

Yes - I welcome the opportunity to meet with you both to discuss your wedding plans in more detail and help you with the finer details. I’m available for consultations via phone, Zoom, Skype, FaceTime and also by appointment at my home. There is no extra charge for consultations unless I am required to travel to another location. Just get in touch if you'd like to arrange a consultation and we can set this up.

I normally start preparing ceremony music approximately 12 weeks in advance, although I prefer to have song choices confirmed before then if possible, so I can create any special arrangements of songs if needed. I always encourage my couples to compile a shortlist of songs over a period of months and send me their ideas and suggestions well in advance, so I can start preparing music, and this is especially important if I’m accompanying a soloist or other musicians.

Absolutely - this is half the fun! I always provide recordings of your ceremony songs in advance so you can listen to them before the big day and confirm you’re happy with everything.

This is not normally included in my fee, however I would be happy to discuss this further with you as there are other options available which may help. For example, I can provide recordings of songs in advance which will allow you to rehearse timings etc for your Procession.

Certainly! Over the years, I’ve worked with couples from all over Ireland and the UK aswell as Australia, America, Spain, Dubai and Hong Kong! I’m more than happy to arrange Skype calls to discuss your plans, offer helpful advice and finalise your music choices, and I’m available outside normal working hours, which makes it easier to schedule a call from a different time zone! All my couples receive digital recordings of their ceremony songs in advance which means you can listen to my music from anywhere in the world before you see me perform live on the day.

Most couples tend to book 1-2 years ahead but I also receive last minute enquiries! I only commit to one wedding per day, so the earlier you book, the more chance your date is still available.

Once I receive your enquiry, I will send you a quotation which is valid for one week and I’ll also reserve your wedding date during this time. Should you wish to proceed with my services, a £100 deposit is required to secure your booking. Your deposit ensures that your wedding date is reserved solely for you, whether your booking is for part of the day or the full day. You also have the option of upgrading your package at a later point, if you decide you’d like to add some extra touches onto your booking.

I accept payment by cheque, bank transfer, debit/credit card, PayPal or Paym. I also offer secure payments via my website, and always encourage couples to use their preferred payment method, so they can track and verify the transaction. Receipt of all payments is confirmed in writing, for future reference.

Yes - All my music is fully licensed, copyrighted and legally distributed. My music license covers live performances aswell as digital sales via my online shop.

Yes - I have Public Liability Insurance (PLI) which confirms I am fully insured for all venues. My Certificate of PLI is available on request. Some venues may also wish to retain a copy on file, so please let me know if you are required to provide this and I will forward the relevant documentation.

Yes - I can provide a COVID Risk Assessment if needed to confirm that I will comply with all the safety procedures in place and take all necessary precautions to ensure there are no added risks during my set up or performance. Some venues may wish to retain a copy on file, so please let me know if you are required to provide this and I will forward the relevant documentation.

Yes - I'm a full-time musician who specialises in solo piano performance at weddings and events.

Unfortunately I don't offer any music tuition services due to my busy schedule but I can highly recommend another musician who does. If you'd like to enquire about Piano or Drum Tuition (for all ages and abilities) please get in touch with Suzanne Manly by email or visit her website. She offers private music lessons in Portadown which are tailored to each student's interests and abilities, and her creative teaching style is guaranteed to inspire you on your music journey!
