It’s always fun to add an extra set of hands to the piano so to amuse myself today, I’ve recorded a short duet with my lovely hubby! This song has been on a loop in my head all week and it’s a real golden oldie! Although it was written back in 1944, it was featured on one of my favourite romcom soundtracks just over 20 years ago and I’ve always loved the lyrics! If you’re in the mood for some old-fashioned romance and sixties music, you’ll love ‘You’ve Got Mail’. This quarantine might be one of the most difficult experiences of our lifetime but like everyone else, I’m trying to create some happy memories aswell and today was definitely one of them! Hope you enjoy our rendition of ‘Dream’ by Roy Orbison!
For those of you wondering… We won’t be taking our double act on the road anytime soon! My hubby doesn’t fancy the rock n roll lifestyle lol! This was actually our first time performing together but hopefully it won’t be our last!
‘Dream’ Lyrics:
Dream, when you’re feeling blue
Dream, that’s the thing to do
Just watch the smoke rings rise in the air
You’ll find your share of memories there
So dream when the day is through
Dream, and they might come true
Things never are as bad as they seem
So dream, dream, dream.
