Loved providing music for Leah and Ryan’s beautiful wedding ceremony today in Castlereagh Fellowship Church in Belfast! Leah chose a great mix of movie music and modern worship songs and I also had the pleasure of accompanying Michele McIlrath who led the praise time during the ceremony. Leah’s entrance piece was a new request for me but it was a fabulous choice! Written by James Newton Howard for the film ‘Pretty Woman’, this instrumental called ‘He Sleeps’ ticked all the right boxes when it comes to modern romantic wedding music! Definitely a must-have piece for movie-lovers! Leah and Ryan also featured some of their favourite worship music during the ceremony, including ‘Amazing Grace My Chains Are Gone’, ‘Cornerstone’, ‘There Is A Higher Throne’, ‘O Lamb Of God’ and ‘Bless The Lord O My Soul’. Everything about their ceremony was very personal and meaningful to Leah and Ryan but it also had a special historical significance as it was the first wedding ceremony to be performed in the new church building! So today’s newlyweds would be the first couple officially married here! There were lots of congratulations in order and these two lovebirds couldn’t wait to start celebrating! For their joyful exit as husband and wife, they walked back down the aisle to a quirky folk song by Barry Louis Polaris called ‘All I Want Is You’ from the movie Juno! Leah really loved the lyrics so she decided to feature the original track instead of a piano cover! So for once, I got to sing and clap along to the music! Such an amazing day with this awesome couple! Wishing them every health and happiness as they start a wonderful new future together as Mr and Mrs Jamison!
