Everyone loves a fairytale romance but how often do we get to see a wedding with a real prince? It’s more than a little exciting for everyone in the wedding industry as we’re sure to fall in love with Meghan’s gorgeous dress as we watch her walk up the aisle and become the most tweeted bride of the year! Her style alone is bound to start a few trends, just as Kate did when she tied the knot back in 2011. Music, just like fashion, evolves with every generation and sometimes traditional styles can make a big comeback – think hand-stitched lace, tea length gowns and flower crowns! Over the past few years, I’ve seen a vintage vinyl revival, especially at weddings! The Bridal March, better known as Here Comes The Bride, has risen in popularity again as an entrance favourite, but couples are now opting for something a bit different and choosing unique arrangements which are a modern take on this classic – just check out the Classical Beauty album on my website and you’ll see what I mean! Something tells me that today’s music will be a mix of old and new, possibly with a few surprise performances thrown in as only the royals can do! Ellie Goulding, Elton John and Paul McCartney have all performed at high profile events for the royal family, not forgetting Brian May who took his legendary rock ‘n’ roll sound to a whole new level with his amazing guitar solo on the roof of Buckingham Palace in 2002! There’s no knowing what to expect today but it’s sure to be something spectacular! Whether you’re relaxing in the sunshine this afternoon or pouring yourself a prosecco as you tune into BBC1, here’s a little surprise to help set the mood for all the happy couples who are getting married later this year! I’m releasing a song which was requested by one of last year’s beautiful brides for her fairytale wedding in an Irish Castle! It may not be featured in Harry and Meghan’s playlist today but I can’t help thinking that it would be pretty perfect for their celebrations! If you’re a Disney fan, you might just want to sing along! To all the brides and grooms-to-be planning their big day, there’s lots more ideas and inspiration on my website, so check out my music library with 10 albums and over 100 songs! Enjoy listening everyone and don’t forget to raise a toast to the newlyweds!
