Over the next few weeks, I’m going to answer some wedding FAQs from brides and grooms! Today’s topic is ceremony music! One of the questions I’m asked most often is ‘can I choose songs for my wedding which you don’t already play?’ The answer is yes of course and you’ll be even happier knowing there is no additional fee for new songs as this is part of my personalised service! Even though I have hundreds of songs already in my repertoire, I receive new requests for almost every wedding and I love creating unique arrangements of songs to help make your day even more personal and memorable! In the past, I have performed some very unusual requests for ceremonies, and I regularly transcribe songs specially for solo piano when the sheet music isn’t available! Customised medleys are also becoming a popular trend now, with two and sometimes three songs being featured during a Bridal Entrance, so you have even more options when it comes to your wedding music! My best tip is to start planning your music early as your song choices need to be finalised at least 3-4 months in advance, so I can prepare special arrangements if needed! You’ll also be pleased to know that all my couples receive recordings of their ceremony songs in advance so they can listen to them before the big day and confirm they’re happy with everything, making the process a little less stressful and a lot more fun! If you’d like me to help you create the perfect playlist for your day, please get in touch and I’ll be delighted to hear more about your plans!
