The sun was shining for today’s happy couple Roberta and Tom as they tied the knot at the beautiful Ballygally Castle Hotel! The Kintyre Ballroom was the perfect setting for their ceremony with its panoramic views over the County Antrim coastline and it was hard to believe it was the start of October with the bright blue skies and warm sea breeze! Today’s music choices included a couple of new requests which were favourites of the bride and groom! For the bridal entrance, Roberta chose a beautiful ballad by Irish singer/songwriter Enya called ‘Only Time’. Its captivating Celtic-inspired melody provided a soft and subtle backdrop for this part and it really suited this venue’s Irish and Scottish heritage! For the Signing, Roberta and Tom requested a fantastic power ballad by rock band Aerosmith which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 when it was released in 1998! This song also featured in the blockbuster film ‘Armageddon’, proving that movie soundtracks really are a great source of inspiration for wedding music! If you haven’t already guessed by now, the song is called ‘I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing’ and I’ll definitely be adding it to my music library! The ceremony ended with a modern favourite which is quickly becoming one of the most popular wedding songs of this decade! As the newlyweds walked down the aisle hand in hand to greet their guests, the enchanting melody of ‘A Thousand Years’ floated through the air, following them out of the ballroom and into the sunshine! A wonderful selection of songs from a wonderful couple! Such a pleasure to be part of their special day and share in their celebrations! Wishing them a fabulous future filled with many more magical moments! Enjoy listening!
