It was the perfect day for an autumn wedding at The Old Inn in the picturesque Crawfordsburn village and today’s ceremony was a beautiful celebration of Karen and George’s love! Their selection of songs featured an eclectic mix of rock and romance and I was very excited to receive a couple of new requests which I knew would be fantastic additions to my repertoire! The ceremony began with a soulful ballad by Northern Irish singer/songwriter Van Morrison called ‘These Are The Days’ which Karen had loved for many years and it helped to make her entrance truly unforgettable! Watching them recite their vows and exchange rings, I could see how happy they were together and their next song choice seemed perfect! As they signed the marriage schedule, I played a song by U2 which made its debut in my music library just a few months ago! Although originally written for guitar and vocals, it works surprisingly well on piano and its lyrics are destined for weddings – ‘All I Want Is You’. Then for their exit, the newlyweds walked down the aisle hand in hand to an upbeat rock anthem which added a memorable and unique backdrop to their first moments as husband and wife! As they greeted their guests afterwards, the iconic chorus of ‘Don’t Stop Believing’ followed them out of the room and into the world as they celebrated the start of their new journey together! Congratulations to this fabulous couple and best wishes for the future!
