Today marked the start of a new chapter in Helen and Graham’s love story as they tied the knot in a romantic ceremony at The Old Inn, Crawfordsburn. I knew from my initial conversation with Helen that she wanted something a bit different for their wedding, especially when it came to the music! She had a lot of great ideas and eventually narrowed the playlist down to a few of their favourite songs! Her first choice was a beautiful ballad by Randy Newman called ‘Feels Like Home’ and it conveyed the perfect sentiment as she walked down the aisle – a sense of belonging! Helen was also keen to include some modern classical pieces during the day so for the Signing, she chose ‘The Butterfly Waltz’ by Brian Crain and ‘A River Flows In You’ by Yiruma. Their captivating melodies added an enchanting backdrop while everyone watched the happy couple sign the marriage schedule! It wasn’t long before the ceremony was drawing to a close and the newlyweds were ready to walk down the aisle to greet their guests! Helen and Graham’s final choice was a definite must-have from the outset and although it was a new request for me, it was an instant winner! What better song to hail they joyful exit and capture this euphoric moment than U2’s ‘All I Want Is You’! Their playlist for the drinks reception was equally eclectic, featuring a few more of their favourites such as ‘Happy Together’ (The Turtles), ‘The Heart Asks Pleasure First’ (Michael Nyman) and the beloved Irish ballad ‘Danny Boy’. An inspiring selection of songs from a fantastic couple! Enjoy listening!
