It was a pleasure to be part of today’s wedding celebrations at the magnificent Montalto Estate in Ballynahinch! The stylish elegance of The Carriage Rooms was the perfect setting for Chris and Marty’s intimate ceremony and romantic reception with friends and family! Having played at their engagement party just over a year ago, I knew that their choice of music would be something special! But there was an even bigger treat in store for me this time, as they decided to hire a Yamaha G1 baby grand piano for the day! Supplied by Benny Crawford & Son, this gorgeous instrument was installed, tuned and polished to perfection by the time I arrived! It was an absolute joy to play and I enjoyed tinkling the ivories all afternoon while guests explored the grounds and admired the stunning scenery. The music continued into the evening, adding to the ambiance in the banquet hall where the amazing team from Yellow Door created an exquisite dining experience. Today’s playlist featured songs from Disney films and Broadway shows, plus a selection of pop hits from almost every decade! From classic power ballads to animated movie themes, there was something for everyone! One of the most requested songs during the day was from an iconic fairytale which is due to be re-released next year (after its record-breaking trailer gained 91.8 million views in the first day!) and it isn’t hard to see why it’s so popular! A favourite with every generation, ‘Beauty And The Beast’ definitely has a special place in my heart, especially after today!
