It was a pleasure to be part of Robert and Ruth’s wedding celebrations today in Newry. It was a day for raincoats and umbrellas but I couldn’t help admiring the gorgeous blush pink and pale peach flowers which added a beautiful burst of spring colour to the church and looked all the more cheery on a grey day! The ceremony music was shared between piano and pipes, with the piper playing a well-known Scottish anthem for Ruth’s entrance – the very majestic Highland Cathedral. A very memorable start to the day indeed! In addition to some of their favourite hymns, Robert and Ruth also requested a few pieces which they both loved, including another song inspired by bonnie Scotland – the theme from Braveheart also known as ‘For The Love Of A Princess’. After the ceremony, the happy couple were whisked away to Carlingford Lough to celebrate with a few photos while their guests relaxed in the Conservatory at the Canal Court Hotel and enjoyed listening to some more romantic music! A great way to brighten up a rainy afternoon and keep everyone smiling! Congratulations to this fabulous couple and best wishes for a fantastic future together!
