Delighted to provide music for Natalie and Steven’s beautiful wedding today at Beech Hill Country House Hotel. Loved their unique choice of music for their ceremony, which included two new requests for me! Steven was a big fan of British rock bands from the seventies so this was the theme for their playlist! For Natalie’s entrance, they chose a Paul McCartney song called ‘Maybe I’m Amazed’ and even without the vocals, it still has a very distinctive melody line and all the trademark chords you would expect from a Beatle! Definitely a great start to the day! Their choice for the Signing was equally memorable and it tied in perfectly with their vintage rock style – a famous ballad by Peter Frampton called ‘Baby I Love Your Way’! Really enjoyed creating my own piano arrangement of this song for their wedding which is based not only on the original track but also combines elements from Big Mountain’s cover version (for those of you who remember it!) For their exciting exit as newlyweds, I played a fantastic feel-good song by Queen – ‘You’re My Best Friend’ to get everyone into the party spirit! My playlist throughout the meal included everything from The Beatles to Beyoncé, but one of my favourite requests was ‘The Way You Look Tonight’ – a timeless classic from The Great American Songbook. Really enjoyed being part of Natalie and Steven’s celebrations today! Wishing them every happiness as they start this exciting new chapter in their lives!
