Such a pleasure to be part of Sharon and Adrian’s wedding celebrations today at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Greyabbey! This couple chose a fantastic selection of songs for their ceremony and their style of music was perfect for their very intimate, relaxed wedding! For her entrance, Sharon requested a piece by Ludovico Einaudi which she loved, and it created a beautiful backdrop for her walk down the aisle! It’s title ‘Nuvole Bianche’ translates into English as ‘White Clouds’ and its slowly changing melody and rhythm really captures the movement of the clouds! If you haven’t heard it before, you should definitely check it out! For the Signing of the Register, Sharon requested two very soulful pieces, both written by Irish musicians, and they complemented each other perfectly! The first was ‘May It Be’ – a gorgeous Enya song which was featured during the end credits of ‘The Lord Of The Rings: The Fellowship Of The Ring’. Although this piece was originally written as an orchestral arrangement, the melody translates really well to piano and I was even able to replicate the atmospheric sound which Enya is famous for! To follow this, Sharon chose a simple yet captivating folk song by Bangor-born musician Foy Vance called ‘Guiding Light’ and although it was originally written for vocals and guitar, I created my own piano cover which Sharon and Adrian both loved! For their joyful exit as husband and wife, the happy couple decided to feature a song by Avalanche City called ‘Love Love Love’ (the original track rather than a piano cover) so they could hear the lyrics as they walked back down the aisle together! Really enjoyed meeting this lovely couple and helping them celebrate this special occasion! Wishing them a fabulous future together filled with lots of love and laughter!
