Congratulations to Charlene and Geoffrey who tied the knot today at the stunning Slieve Donard Resort in Newcastle! The weather was a little on the wild side (even for those who like the windswept look!) with gale force winds and flash flooding making it impossible to venture outside! So no beach photographs today, but everyone enjoyed celebrating in the comfort of the Chandelier Room before before treated to a sparkling champagne reception afterwards in the Brunel Lounge courtesy of Champagne Memories! Plenty of great tunes in my playlist today, including an Elvis song for the Bridal Party’s Entrance which still remains a favourite even though it was released almost 60 years ago! So many classic love songs are making a comeback at this year’s weddings and it’s no surprise that their popularity is still growing with every generation! Delighted to catch up with another lovely couple Victoria and Andrew who I met back in September at Victoria’s sister Kirsty’s wedding (who just happens to be a huge Elvis fan!) proving that the King definitely has staying power and his music still lives on after all these years! Also enjoyed playing a few festive favourites throughout the afternoon to tie in with all the Christmas decor! Such a pleasure to be part of this fab couple’s celebrations and I wish them all the happiness in the world as they start this exciting new chapter in their lives!
