A huge congratulations to Andrea and Simon who tied the knot today in a beautiful outdoor ceremony in The Pear Garden at Glenarm Castle! I was delighted to provide music for their celebrations and loved the al fresco ambience of this intimate and elegant wedding! The sun was shining as they exchanged vows in front of their nearest and dearest, and even without the usual hugs and handshakes, you could feel the happiness radiating from this lovely couple! But their journey to the big day had a few twists and turns! They had originally planned to get married in April, but like so many others, their plans were put on hold due to lockdown! Aswell as changing their date multiple times, they also changed their venue in order to facilitate an outdoor wedding this summer and (get ready to applaud!) successfully re-planned their day in under 3 weeks! What a story to tell in years to come! But one thing’s for sure – this wedding was definitely worth the wait! To make it even more personal and meaningful, Andrea and Simon chose some of their favourite music to be played throughout the afternoon, including a modern mix of romantic ballads and worship songs. Andrea walked up the aisle to a beautiful arrangement of the ‘Bridal March’ by Vicente Avella, and it set the perfect mood for their intimate ceremony. They requested two pieces for the Signing of the Register – ‘King Of My Heart’ by Bethel Music and ‘Good Good Father’ by Chris Tomlin. Then for their joyful exit as husband and wife, they each chose a song and what better lyrics to start married life than Ellie Goulding’s ‘Still Falling For You’ followed by McFly’s ‘Love Is Easy’! Such a cool combo to dance your way back down the aisle! The live music continued throughout the afternoon as guests were treated to refreshments in the garden, whilst the happy couple spent a few precious moments alone soaking up that freshly-wed feeling! An absolute pleasure to be part of such a special celebration today and I wish Andrea and Simon every happiness as they start this exciting new chapter in their lives! May all their days together be filled with love and laughter!
