Congratulations to today’s happy couple Lauren and Thomas who were married in St Joseph’s Church in Kircubbin and are now celebrating with friends and family at Orange Tree House in Greyabbey! Lauren had such an amazing vision for her ceremony music! She really wanted a classical, Celtic theme and cleverly combined traditional and modern pieces to create a wonderful wedding soundtrack! The ceremony began with one of Ludovico Einaudi’s most famous pieces ‘I Giorni’ for Lauren’s entrance! She featured a couple more favourites during the Signing including ‘Ag Críost An Síol’ and ‘You Are Mine’, and their friend also performed a stunning solo which was beyond beautiful! An absolute pleasure to accompany Mary as she sang ‘The Irish Blessing’, a song which had a very special meaning for Lauren’s family. For their grand finale, Thomas chose a fantastic piece by classical composer Edvard Grieg which dates all the way back to 1896 and even the title sounds perfect – ‘Wedding Day At Troldhaugen’! If you haven’t heard it before, it’s definitely worth a listen as it really captures the joyful mood of a wedding! The happy couple continued their celebrations at Orange Tree House and my playlist for the afternoon featured lots more of Lauren and Thomas’ favourite songs, played on a Yamaha U3 courtesy of Benny Crawford & Son. Absolutely loved working with this couple to bring their ideas to life and I wish them a fabulous fun-filled future together as Mr and Mrs MacMahon!
