In my quest to find calming, constructive things to do, I came up with this little brainwave! I know I’m not the only one who finds music calming, so I thought I would share a short video with you every week to help you relax and zone out from the world. I’ve simply called it ’60 Seconds To Soothe Your Soul’ and I’d love you to join me on my journey to find calm amidst the chaos! You can watch it from your safe space whilst you dream about your happy place!
This piece called ‘Mariage d’Amour’ (Marriage Of Love) was written by the fabulous French composer Paul de Senneville back in 1979 and made famous by one of my favourite classical crossover pianists Richard Clayderman when he recorded it for his 4th studio album later that year. This unique arrangement by pianist George Davidson is a little different to the original but I love the subtle changes he’s made to the melody line! It’s wonderfully nostalgic for me and even if you’re not a fan of classical music, this piece is still incredibly beautiful and instantly captivating! It’s also a perfect choice for weddings!
One more important mention! I’ve decided to feature photographs of Irish scenery as the cover slides for my videos and I’ll be choosing a different one each week to showcase! This awesome shot of Sliabh Liag in County Donegal was captured by Steven Hylands, a Belfast-based photographer, and I just love this stunning view!
If any photographers I’ve worked with over the years would like to contribute an image for a cover slide, please message me! Or if you know someone who might be interested, please get in touch! All my fellow freelance workers know how important it is to help each other out at times like this and show our support! So I’d like to promote local businesses and artists wherever possible and share their work with you! Please reach out to me if you have an image I could use – preferably of Irish scenery or Irish couples!
Stay safe everyone and enjoy listening!
